Dr. Vivian Y. Kim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreo-retinal specialist. She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and trained at University of Pennsylvania’s Scheie Eye Institute. She also completed a two-year vitreo-retinal fellowship at the internationally renowned New England Eye Center at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
An Ivy Leaguer, Dr. Kim completed her undergraduate studies at Yale University. She also earned her Master’s in Public Health from Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
With nearly 20 years of practice in the central valley, Dr. Kim provides expert surgical and medical care in complex retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, macular degeneration, macular disorders, complex retinal detachments, and other vitreo-retinal disorders.
Away from the practice Dr. Kim is highly involved in the arts. She is a competitive ballroom dancer, a concert classical pianist as well as an aficionado of classical music and opera.
